Mbenji peacock

Description

Mbenji Peacock cichlids are a species of Aulonocara native to Mbenji Islands in Lake Malawi. Males feature bright metallic blue bodies with a yellow streak through their mid-bodies and grow to be up to 6″ in length. Females are smaller and display a pale color with thick bars across their bodies.

Mbenji Peacock cichlids are usually peaceful with each other and other Peacock cichlids. Although they may display aggression with other dominant males and when breeding. We suggest keeping these cichlids with other Peacocks like German Red, Sulfur Head, or Flavescent Peacock cichlids.
